Abraham Lincoln

“Even as a child, Lincoln dreamed heroic dreams.”

“The strength of Lincoln’s desire to engrave his name of history carried him forward.”

  • Doris Kearns Goodwin, Team of Rivals

Joseph’s father gave him a great garment, but God gave him a dream.

“God was with Joseph…” – Genesis 39:2

Even when Joseph couldn’t see God’s grace in his life, he lived with absolute confidence that God was with him.

God’s silence doesn’t indicate God’s absence.

BIG QUESTION: What would you do if you knew God was with you? What story do you want your life to tell?

“…the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6

“And surely I [Jesus] am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:20

Higher than the mountains that I face

Stronger than the power of the grave

Constant through the trial and the change

One thing… remains

One thing remains

Your love never fails, it never gives up

It never runs out on me

On and on and on and on it goes

It overwhelms and satisfies my soul

And I never, ever, have to be afraid

One thing remains

One thing remains.

In death, In life, I’m confident and

Covered by the power of Your great love

My debt is paid, there’s nothing that can

Separate my heart from Your great love

Your love is like radiant diamonds

Bursting inside us we cannot contain

Your love will surely come find us

Like blazing wildfires singing Your name

God of mercy sweet love of mine

I have surrendered to Your design

May this offering stretch across the skies

These Hallelujahs be multiplied
